Learning Outcomes of the Course : Learns species, distribution areas and economic importance of bulbous ornamental plants.
Realizes the natural life cycles and relationships of ecology-physiology of bulbous ornamental plants.
Learns underground organ formation, dormancy, flower formation and flowering of ornamental bulbous plants.
Understands the physiology of bulbous ornamental plants and interprets its cultivation and adaptation.

Aim(s) of Course : This course aims to teach the physiology of ornamental plants whose reproduction is by their underground organs.

Course Contents : The contents of this course include the introduction to natural life cycles of ornamental plants which contain bulbs, tubers, rhizomes and corms; the classification of morphologically differentiated underground organs of plants; the introduction to underground organ formation, dormancy, flower formation and flowering of ornamental bulbous plants.
