Learning Outcomes of the Course : Discuss the knowledge and science concepts transformation in the historical process
Explains the importance of scientific thinking method for understanding and inquiry life
Explain the resource of the knowledge
Explain the limitations of the scientific method in social science
Make research on process and techniques used in social sciences research and present
Determines a problem for research, conduct research using the steps of scientific method
Write his research report according to the rules

Aim(s) of Course : To be able to discuss science and basic concepts (phenomenon, knowledge, absolute, error, universal fact etc.), basics of history of science, Being able to discuss and use structure of scientific research, scientific methods and different perspectives about scientific methods, problem, research model, sampling, data collection, methods in data collection (quantitative and qualitative methods), analysis, interpretation of data and reporting.

Course Contents : Science and basic concepts (phenomenon, knowledge, absolute, error, universal fact etc.), basics of history of science, structure of scientific research, scientific methods and different perspectives about scientific methods, problem, research model, sampling, data collection, methods in data collection (quantitative and qualitative methods), analysis, interpretation of data and reporting.
