Learning Outcomes of the Course : Student is familiarized with academic writing genre;
Employs transitions between sentences and paragraphs;
Presents clear and striking thesis statements;
Establishes relation between cited literature and research topic;
Deals with parts of a research paper with due attention given to specific characteristics of each section.

Aim(s) of Course : This course aims to introduce the academic writing genre; highlighting transitions between sentences and paragraphs; presenting clear and striking thesis statements; displaying relation between cited literature and research topic; and dealing with parts of a research paper with due attention given to specific characteristics of each part.

Course Contents : To be able to clarify the format of any academic text and distinguish the differences among the paragraph constructing a scientific article.

Language of Instruction : English
