Aim(s) of Course : The objective of this course is to understand techniques and basic results of probability and mathematical statistics. Basic concepts of probability and its applications to real life data through random variables are explained. Mathematical and statistical properties of discrete and continuous random variables are investigated. Estimation methods are explained briefly. Moment generating functions are also explained in this course.

Course Contents : The content of this course covers probability, discrete random variables, continuous random variables with mathematical and statistical properties of these topics, and the maximum likelihood estimation.
