Learning Outcomes of the Course |

By the end of the program, the participants; Know the importance of child health in Turkey and in the World, the value of the child in the family and in the society, healthy relation between mother and child and its importance, place of child health programmes in prior service Knows the social factors which lead to frequently observed diseases, accidents, injuries in childhood and their early diagnoses, and knows preventive medical approach Knows the childhood periods, diagnosis and early diagnosis of health problems according to these periods, differences of nutrition according to these periods and offers necessary suggestions Knows differences between breast-feeding and supplementary feeding according to the periods of childhood, offers suggestions, knows breast-feeding and breast care techniques, provides correct nutrition Knows childhood health parametres, factors affecting child health, basic morbidity and mortality causes of infancy and childhood, reaches these data, makes necessary calculations Knows the child health service model in primary health care in Turkey, its application, public/private programs in action, knows the settings in which forms and other printed and/or digital media are used and fills them

It is aimed to provide the participants with knowledge and skill about the importance of child health, measurement of child health levels in the world and in Turkey, assessment and interpretation of the basic data about child health, service provided at the level of primary health care. |

Definitions, childhood periods, status of child health in Turkey and in the world, related criterion, morbidity and mortality, child health in primary health care, frequently observed diseases, accidents and injuries in the childhood, addiction problems, healthy life behavior, immunisation. |
