Knows the effects of the gender approach to the living rights and women´s health in Turkey and in the world Knows about the health care applications and states of women´s health in Turkey and in the world Lists the causes of maternal death in the world and in Turkey Lists maternal health services at primary health care in the context of basic health care Knows about the importance of prenatal and postpartum care Ranks the risky situations in pregnancy according to the order of frequency Knows the characteristics of prenatal and puerperal care Ranks the risky situations of the postpartum (puerperal) according to the order of frequency Describes the services given for pregnancy and postpartum (puerperal) period Knows how to use prenatal and postnatal care and women´s health follow-up observation forms, and knows the institutions to declare the notifications

Provides the participants with knowledge about factors affecting the women health in Turkey and in the world, gender, safe motherhood practices, early diagnosis methods of risky situations that may occur in pregnancy, birth and mother´s post health care and for this purpose to make students have information about the services offered in primary care |

Reproductive health (RH) and rights for reproduction, RH concepts and services, their importance, sexuality and sexual health, basic knowledge about gender and violence, sexually transmitted diseases, the concept of safe motherhood, pregnancy and prenatal care, partus and postpartum ( puerperal ) care |
