Learning Outcomes of the Course : Knows the laws and legal background of Family Planning (FP)
Knows the organisation and status of FP in Turkey
Discusses the positive and negative aspects of FP
Lists the groups with priority in FP and reproductive health
Knows the techniques of FP education (adult education)
Classifies FP methods
Has the skill of communication techniques necessary for counselling services in FP
Lists contents of the methods, how it protects, indications, side effects and complications of FP methods
Solves the most frequent health problems of FP method users
Knows the sterilisation and high-level dysinfection used at FP polyclinics
Knows to keep records in the services of FP and knows the institutions to where the reports are declared

Aim(s) of Course : Provides the participants with information about the status of family planning in Turkey, with its legal aspects, purposes, organisation and properties, and communication techniques to be used in family planning counselling, about family planning education and use of different methods of family planning.

Course Contents : Regulation of fertility, the situation of family planning in Turkey and in the world, family planning methods and counselling.
