Learning Outcomes of the Course : Recognizes new Islamic Turkish written languages developed in z/ş branch after Karakhanid Turkish
Recognizes the dialects in r / l branch and compares historical dialects with the modern dialects
Recognizes the expansion area of historical dialects and present-day dialects and the proceeds
Understands the relationships between dialects and the relationships between languages

Aim(s) of Course : To teach the history of Turkish language in terms of all dialects and proporties from the 13th century period to 21th century period.

Course Contents : A general view on Old and New Turkish, present-day dialects, classification of Turkish dialects and the history of Turkish phonetics
