Aim(s) of Course : Introduction to the academic studies in Contemporary Turkish Literature, discussion about the methods and contextual characteristics of the academic studies, information about necessary sources for studies in the field.

Course Contents : A general approach to studies of Contemporary Turkish literature in recent period, analysis academic studies of Şerif Aktaş, contributors from outside turcology area to the field, analysis of Berna Moran´s study called "Türk Romanına Eleştirel Bir Bakış", critical method of Berna Moran, publications of Jale Parla related to the field, analysis of Jale Parla´s study called "Babalar ve Oğullar", studies of Nurdan Gürbilek, discussing the contribution of Nurdan Gürbilek´s publications to the field, potential use of periodic publications as a source of Comtemporary Turkish literature, literary journals in the past and present, ıntroduction academic periodic publications related to the field.
