Learns scientific research methods and techniques. Learns footnote types,bibliography preparation, seminar plans and thesis plans and the essential proporties of these plans. Learns the main sources of Divan literature. Learns the important literary dates and features related to the field of Divan Literatüre. Analyzes historical development of tezkires and defines their importance for history of literatüre. Knows about periodicals related to the field. Evaluates the role and importance of bibliographies in scientific studies. Learns the manuscripts and their features, related terms, and the principles of manuscript usage. Knows about major libraries containing manuscripts. Knows the dictionaries to be used in Divan literature studies and their usage patterns

The way and technics of academic research; choosing topic; reading and taking notes; finding sources; preparing thesis plan; defining the features supposed to be in this plan. Checking the writing guide of the thesis. Having ideas about encyclopedia, dictionary, literature history, catalog, and other sources which will be helpful for the studies of Old Turkish Literature. Knowledge of bibliography. Hand writings and their characteristics, and the libraries which have hand writings. |
