Learning Outcomes of the Course : At the end of this course, the students: Define the basic concepts of ergonomics.
Differentiate the structural factors in ergonomics.
Know anatomical terminology.
Explain the planes and axes of the human body
Know basic anatomy of the musculoskeletal system, the cardiovascular system, the respiratory system, the nervous system and sense organs.
Show the anthropometric reference points and perform the anthropometric measurements.
Understand the principles of biomechanics and the importance of structural factors in modelling.
Summarize knowledge about man-machine systems.
Understand the importance of ergonomics for daily activities.

Aim(s) of Course : The purpose of this course is to integrate knowledge of anatomy and ergonomics.

Course Contents : Integration of knowledge of anatomy and ergonomics: Introduction to ergonomics, the importance of structural factors in ergonomics, introduction to anatomy, gross anatomy of the human body (musculoskeletal system, cardiovascular system, respiratory system, nervous system, sense organs), anthropometric reference points, anthropometric measurements, machines of human body, biomechanics, modelling, man-machine systems, ergonomics in daily activities
