Learning Outcomes of the Course : Knows the basic concepts and theories on social differentiation
Discusses the position and effect of culture in social differentiation
Discusses the social meaning and importance of language in accordance with its place in conflicts and integaration
Evaluates the function of religion in social conflict and integration in accordance with sect and communion
Discusses the effects of political conflicts in segregation and integration
Comprehends the difference between economical-based and class-based social segregation and integration
Knows the segregation and integration process of ethnicity, race, migration and different sociocultural groups

Aim(s) of Course : The aim of this course is to enable the students to know the basic knowledge, concepts ,theories and current debates on social differentiation, cultural diversity, migration, poverty, nationalism, segregation, integration processes ; understand and evaluate decomposition and integration processes through current research and its concrete examples.

Course Contents : This course covers social differentiation, grouping, and basic concepts and theories about conversions , culture, cultural diversity,basic concepts and theories on cultural diversity, and conversion ,theories of social segregation and integration, socio-biological decomposition like gender,woman, age ,child , and the concept of gender.
