Learning Outcomes of the Course : Has knowledge about symbiotic lifestyles and the concept of parasitism
Is able to parasite examination on economic fish species,

Classifies fish parasites and examines the phylogenetic studies.
Has knowledge about the pathological effects of parasites on fish
Learns entreating parasites of economic fish species

Aim(s) of Course : To give basic information about the symbiotic lifestyles encountered in the world, to have knowledge on the concepts of parasitism. To learn about biology, treatment methods, systematic and phylogeny of parasites of economic fish species encountered in our country and around the world.

Course Contents : The concept of parasitism; host-parasite relationship; common ecto and endo parasites on freshwater and marine fishes in our country; epidemiological rules and biology of parasites; determine species of parasites; methods for treatment.
