Learning Outcomes of the Course : Obtains the conceptual and theoretical knowledge about plant tissue culture.
Knows the factors affecting the sucsess of plant tissue culture, improvement techniques and methods to increase the success of plant tissue cultures.
Knows theoretical and practical methods for different researches.
Knows to transform theoretical knowledge in laboratory studies, experiments.
Improves new methods to solve present problems.

Aim(s) of Course : To give general and practical information about plant tissue cultures.

Course Contents : Tissue culture-related definitions, techniques used in plant tissue culture, preparation of plant nutrient media, isolation and transferring of plant tissues, culture conditions, acclimatization of in vitro plants to environment, meristem culture, shoot tip culture, cell and callus culture.
