Learning Outcomes of the Course : Is able to prepare standard samples and analysis the results of the specific experiments in the laboratory or in the field as rock mechanics.

Aim(s) of Course : Mining engineers performing engineering activities on site, description of the rock-ground structure faced and the factors affecting the choice of system identification and the decision to give the most accurate results.

Course Contents : General definitions, measurements of rock masses discontinuity, petrographic properties of rocks, the measurement of the physical properties of the rocks, wear and hardness measurements, vibration measurements of rocks, strength and deformation measurements, shear strength measurements, in-situ deformation measurements.
