Description and context of econometrics;econometric research method; determining model of econometric problem, model estimation, testing coefficients, evaluating predictive power of the model, desired properties of an econometric model; linear correlation; basic linear regression model; Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) method, statistical testing for significance of estimates, multiple regression model, other extensions of linear regression model (dummy variables, estimating non-linear relations); deviations from classical regression model (multicollinearity, heteroscedasticity, autocorrelation); simultaneous equations models |
