Learning Outcomes of the Course : know a good entrepreneurial profile and the role of the entrepreneur in businesses
understand and analyze the important role of SMEs for Turkish economy.
use theoretical and practical knowledge gained in the basic fields of entrepreneurshıp and small and medıum sıze busıness management.

Aim(s) of Course : To be able to recognise the debates around the nature of entrepreneurship, what it means by identifying the key definitions of entrepreneurship and SMEs management used in practice today and understand the possibilities, the challenges, and the rewards of an entrepreneur.

Course Contents : In this course; entrepreneurship concept, relations of entrepreneur and environment, characteristics of entrepreneur, establishment principles of small businesses, management principles for growing firms, global side of entrepreneurship, strategic management and entrepreneur, leadership in growing firms and management chain planning, a successful marketing plan for small businesses and basic principles of forming financial plans are examined. Some examples about Turkey and management of family businesses are also investigated.
