Understands the importance of grammar in foreign language teaching. Understands the relationship between form and function of the language. Understands the association of grammar teaching and learning after a previously learned foreign language and mother tongue. Distinguishes and applies grammatical categories that can form a basis for teaching / learning a foreign language. Is aware of the individual distinctiveness of the foreign language learner in grammar teaching. Understands the need for pedagogical way of thinking and understanding in grammar teaching. Develops grammar teaching / learning methods and strategies.
