Aim(s) of Course : The aim of this course is to teach the structure of the economy in terms of aggregate economic variables, to make the students examine the structure and historical background of macroeconomics and learn advanced level macroeconomic knowledge.

Course Contents : This course covers Scope of Development Macroeconomics, Historical Background of Macroeconomics, Economic Structure and Macroeconomics, Aggregate Accounts, Production, and Market Structure, Behavioural Functions, The Government Budget and Fiscal Management, Macroeconomic Effects of Fiscal Policy, Financial Markets and the Transmission Process of Monetary Policy, A Framework for Monetary Policy Analysis, Inflation Targeting and Interest Rate Rules, Choosing an Exchange-Rate Regime, Open Economy Macroeconomics
