Discusses the relationship between religious identity, culture and personality.
Knows that social identity is protected by religion.
Knows the effects of religious identity on religious life.
Discusses the relationship between an individual´s value system and his/her perception of identity
Discusses the relationship between religious identity and non-religious values.
Learns to be tolerant of different identities, and shows this through his/her behaviours.
Student behaves objectively when he/she researches.

Aim(s) of Course : The aim of the course is to explain the relationship between identity, culture and personality, the relationship between identity and religiosity, identity and values. The course also aims to explain the formation process of religious identity and to achieve being objective in identity researches.

Course Contents : The course covers identity, sub-identity, supra-identity, individual identity, social identity, identity formation theories, factors feeding identity formation, formation process of religious identity, the effect of religious identity on individual and social behaviours and relations between religious groups.
