Learning Outcomes of the Course |

Defines the concepts of religion, religiosity, psycho-social adjustment and mental health. Knows that there is not just one type of religiosity, thus makes analysis accordingly. Gains knowledge about the dimensions of religious life Knows theories concerning religious behaviour Realizes the effects of religiosity on mental health. Recognizes and distinguishes between normal and pathological types of religiosity. Learns the forms of religiosity and the relationship between personality and identity. Defines the phenomenon of religiosity which is subjective according to objective criteria.

The aim of the course is to define the phenomenon of religion, religiosity and spirituality and to distinguish the dimensions and types of religiosity.It also aims to enable the students to recognize the relationship between religiosity and psychosocial adjustment and to Look at the relationship between religion and mental health objectively. |

The course covers the concepts of religiosity and spirituality, dimensions of religiosity, types of religiosity and influence of religiosity on individual and social life. It also deals with theories concerning religious behaviour, theories related to the relationship between religiosity-mental health and the results of studies about the relationship between religiosity-mental health. |
