Learning Outcomes of the Course : Lists knowledge about the issue of understanding the hadiths correctly.
Distinguishes the emergence and reasons of the hadith commentary tradition
Classifies the literature about famous hadith interpretations and commantators.
Produces answers to the hadith related problems
Analyzes the need for commentaries throughout the Islamic history and understands structure of studies required for today

Aim(s) of Course : To determine the principles and methods to be followed for understanding and interpreting of the hadiths correctly.

Course Contents : Commentary, the need for commentary, commentary of hadith by hadith, some examples of Prophet´s commentary, some examples of Prophet´s Companions´ commentary, early hadith commentaries, Hattabi as a commentator, Bukhari´s commentaries, Muslim´s commentaries, Abu Dawud´s commentaries, Tirmidhi´s commentaries
