Learning Outcomes of the Course |

Evaluates the emergence and development of the hadith literature. Understands the basic principles of oral and written narration of hadiths. Has knowledge about the various aspects of the academic studies during the period Hadith were compiled. Lists the basic characteristics of classification period, knows the works of the period and can compare them. Analyzes the important works of the classification period. indicates the main differences between main Hadith sources other literature. Identifies the textual contradictions in hadiths. has ability to come up with answers to the textual contradictions in hadiths. Has ability to apply text critisizm principles on Hadith texts. Is capable of identifying which are not authentic (can not be related to the prophet).

The main sources of Hadith literature; formation stages of Hadith Literature; Hıfz (memorizing), Kitabet (clerical work) and the first written sources of hadith. Works classified according to their narrators and topics. |
