Learning Outcomes of the Course : Knows about the theoretical contents of reading skills.
Knows what needs to be done in order to gain the habit of reading in society and the related techniques for reading and study skills.
Knows about the kinds of reading and decides on the type of reading according to his/her goal.
Knows about the studies to improve reading skills in Turkish education.
Exemplifies the concept of ´critical reading´ in sample texts and practices critical reading.

Aim(s) of Course : The aim of this course is to help students use reading skills in Turkish education.

Course Contents : The contents of this course include explanation of reading theories and raising students´ awareness of students about the reading process.
