Learning Outcomes of the Course : Defines the language and its relation with other disciplines.

Defines and illustrates the terms such as syllable, accent, emphasis.
Applies phonological analyses on Turkish texts.

Aim(s) of Course : This lesson aims to teach about the description of language, the relation between the language and other disciplines, language families, features of Turkish language, sounds, vowels and consonants, sound changes, syllables, accents.

Course Contents : The contents of this course include the development of Turkish language, the family of Turkish languages , phonetic features of Turkey Turkish, sound (vowels and consonants), sound changes, syllable.
