Learning Outcomes of the Course : Acquires basic theoretical and practical knowledge and skills in writing as a communicative and graphic application area.
Comprehends primary education (primary school) cursive handwriting skills.
Realizes calligraphic writing skills.
Learns about how to teach and practice italic writing and make preparatory work, hand exercises, how to write large and small letters and numbers.
Discusses the place and importance of signature in our daily lives, understands the importance of signature.
Acquires basic skills in calligraphic writing as a result of manual exercises, and writing applications.

Aim(s) of Course : The aim of this course is to help students gain italic handwriting skills, calligraphic writing skills, to teach how good writing skills can be acquired, give some theoretical information about the related topics and get students practice, to teach the basic rules.

Course Contents : The contents of this course include the introduction to the history of manuscript, the developmental process of writing after the beginning of the Republican Period, ground rules for cursive handwriting, basic calligraphic (decorative) rules for writing, practicing the related fundamental issues.
