Learning Outcomes of the Course : Comprehends the teaching system and organization of a school in systematic approach.
Observes the school administration, the regular activities at school and the facilities of a school.
Realizes the activities in the class by observing.
Observes one day of a teacher and a student at school.
Observes how the teacher s/he coordinates the lesson while teaching.
Observes how the teacher organizes the lesson, applies teaching methods and techniques and what kind of activities s/he uses during the lesson.
Observes what the teacher does for classroom management and control.
Observes how the teacher ends the lesson and evaluates the students and their studies.
Examines the organizational structure of the school, how the school director works and relations of the school with the concerned society.
Prepares a portfolio to reflect on his/her school experience.

Aim(s) of Course : To get the students to make observations about a teacher´s and a student´s school day, the teacher organizing a lesson plan and the stages, his/her teaching methods and techniques used in class, the kind of activities s/he uses, what s/he does for course management and controlling the class, how s/he ends the lesson, how s/he evaluates students , the organizational structure of the school, the headmaster´s relationships with the community at school, how to prepare a portfolio to reflect on the working system of a school.

Course Contents : The contents of this course include the observation of a teacher´s and a student´s day at school, the teacher organizing a lesson plan and the stages of a lesson, his/her teaching methods and techniques used in class, the kind of activities s/he uses, what s/he does for course management and controlling the class, how s/he ends the lesson, how s/he evaluates students , the organizational structure of a school, the headmaster´s relationships with the community at school, how to prepare a portfolio to reflect on the working system of a school.
