Learning Outcomes of the Course |
: |
Is able to read and understand the Ottoman texts written in Arabic letters. Is able to read poems with aruz rythm which are exclusive to classic Turkish literature easily. Knows Sebk-i Hindî and Klâsik, Hikemi and Mahallî styles. Knows the important poets like Ganîzâde Nâdirî, Nef´î, Ş. Yahya, Neşâtî, Nâilî-i Kadîm, Nâbî, Nedîm-i Kadîm, Sâbit, Hâletî. Knows 16th and 17th century Mesnevis and Mesnevi writers. Knows 17th and 18th century prose works, reads the texts and understands them. Knows old sources like historical works and biography collections.

To introduce the Classical Literature which occured in Azerbaijan, Central Asia and Ottoman areas in the 17th and 18th century, it’s prominent representatives and their works. In addition reading the texts about them. |
