Learning Outcomes of the Course |

Knows the term Uyghur and what the term entails. Knows the historical, political and cultural conditions that formed the written language of Uyghur.
Knows the belief systems of the Uyghurs. Understands the effects of the Uyghurs converting to Buddhism, Manichaeism and Christianity on language. Recognizes the alphabet used in the Uyghur Period. Recognizes texts written in Uyghur and knows their characteristics. Understands Uyghur literature and the basic elements in literature. Is able to compare the features of Uyghur with other periods and fields.
