Learning Outcomes of the Course |
: |
Comprehends materials, resources and methods of language history research. Is able to think about the oldest periods of language based language history materials Knows the Hun language material in Chinese resources and about its properties. Is able to compare the language material of Danube Bulgarian, Volga Bulgarian and Chuvash which are the r / l branch of Turkish. Knows the theory of Altaic languages and the weaknesses and foundations of the theory. Knows the works from the Old Turkish period which is the first written language form of the z / ş branch of Turkish. Understands the relationship between the Old Turkish and Karakhan Turkish and understands the differences and similarities between the two periods. Is able to compare the literary forms of Turkish that developed until the 13th century with historical and comtemporary dialects. Knows language history research materials, resources and methods.
