Learning Outcomes of the Course : Knows the Arabic alphabet.
Understands and analyses texts in dilacets.
Knows and uses the numbers, Arabic marks and other cues.
Is able to write texts which are formed by Turkish words.
Is able to translate the Ottoman Turkish texts to new writing style with translating script.

Aim(s) of Course : To learn reading and writing skills for Ottoman Turkish

Course Contents : To learn the letters of Arabic and to set apart Turkish words from other Arabic or Persian words. To read text which are written by Ottoman Turkish Language. On general, students gain the reading and writing ability of manuscripts.
