Learning Outcomes of the Course : Learn how to record the medical history of the patients
Learn the necessary treatment modifications before, during, and after oral surgical treatments in medically compromised patients
Learn the oral surgical instruments
Learn the professional knowledge about tooth extraction, associated complications and their treatment modalities
Learn the fundamental surgical techniques about impacted tooth surgery
Learn professional knowledge about post-operative maintenance

Aim(s) of Course : Teach the dental students about the medical assessment of the patients who will undergo dental treatment, fundamental principles of wound healing in oral cavity, oral surgical instruments; indications, contraindications, surgical techniques, and complications of tooth extraction and impacted tooth operation.

Course Contents : Medical assessment of dental patients, principles of wound healing in oral cavity, terminology of asepsis and antisepsis, oral surgical instruments, tooth extraction and impacted tooth surgery
