Learning Outcomes of the Course : Is able to understand that art is the product of historical process.
Is able to be aware of the fact that the works of art which have historical value are the memory of humanity and they should be protected.
Is able to explain how wars and modern science affects the art and artist.
Is able to explain what kind of aesthetic value the modern works of art have.
Has the ability of thinking sensitively and contemporarily about the protection and survival of cultural, natural and art assests.

Aim(s) of Course : Students will be able to understand, explain and evaluate the status of art in the civilizations, the phases it went through during the period from the primitive society until the present day.

Course Contents : Definition and types of art, art history periods from the beginning of the main lines are discussed.
