Aim(s) of Course : The course aims to provide the students with the musical equipment which is necessary to comprehend works to be studied or interpreted through studies like collective and individual singing/playing,dictation, hearing, analyzing through listening, analysis on the partition, singing and playing at the same time and transposition.

Course Contents : The course prepares students for the study of the systems which are related to generally music training and specifically solfege training in Turkey and West. Teaching the basic principles of music like note reading, hearing, measure, deciphering and dictation; developing student’s ability of hearing and comprehending musical works form the contents of the course.
