Learning Outcomes of the Course : investigates and learns technical properties of necessary tools and equipment required for agricultural activities and also technical properties of agricultural structures.
Makes use of the information gained during general and professional training in selecting the phsicial, chemical, and mechanical properties of a material.
Joins discussions and states his/her opinions about the subject when necessary.

Aim(s) of Course : To provide students with information about general and specific properties of various materials to be encountered in working life. To enable students to gain skill to select the most appropriate material type taking safety, economy, and asthetic values into considiration through making economic analysis in accordance with the technical properties, usage, place and purpose of the materials.

Course Contents : Materials, classification of materials, internal structure of material and formation of internal structure .Mechanical, electrical and physical properties of materials. Iron and other metal materials .Operations to improve resistance of metal materials, alloys, grain greatness, cold forming and head treatment operations. Plastic materials and other organic materials .Introduction to agricultural buildings, their classification, parts of agricultural buildings and material used in agricultural buldings.
