Learning Outcomes of the Course : Knows the definition, history and development stages of the art of printmaking
Knows what kind of physical hardwares printmaking workshops should have . Knows and uses all technical tools and utensils.
Knows techniques of printmaking theoretically and practically techniques, and implements them by means of individual research.
Reproduces an original design using single or multi-press molding method by means of conventional techniques
Searches for the discovery and possibilities of printmaking techniques and their usage
Explores emerging technologies to use replication techniques of contemporary printmaking.
Knows which printmaking techniques can be used in primary and secondary education in accordance with the conditions of the workshop, and knows how to use these printmaking techniques along with the tools required

Aim(s) of Course : To teach replica techniques of traditional and contemporary printmaking both theoretically and practically

Course Contents : The course includes information about the history, development stages, art-artists and techniques of the art of printmaking. Theoretical knowledge is given about the folowing techiniques of printmaking; Stencil, Monotype, linocut, wood, engraving, silk screen, lithography, collography and on modern techniques. Original single and multi-color, and single or multi-pattern printmaking is practised using the techniques that are eligible for the workshop.
