Aim(s) of Course : To know modes of production, cultural evolutions and thought systems, which have affected the formation of civilizations from pre-historic ages to the present time, and to absorb the role of all these factors in art and perceptions of art.

Course Contents : This course studies the modes of production that have formed and transformed the civilisation and the systems of thought and perceptions of art that they brought about. In this respect, the concept of art is analysed, discussed and evaluated by means of philosophies of antique and middle ages, period of enlihgtenment, and modern philosophies.
