Learning Outcomes of the Course : To make students realizing first and second fundamental theorems of welfare economics
Students understand social welfare functions by using different economists
Students consider collective decison mechanism by using pure public goods.
Students can list voting methods and they can explain these methods.
Students can explain different sides of voting systemes.

Aim(s) of Course : Aim of this lesson is to understand welfare economics by using micro economics tools and to examine collective decision making as a result of pure public goods and to analyze its relation with social welfare functions.

Course Contents : Content of this course is concept of welfare economics and classic welfare economics, new welfare economics, social choice, visions against market based welfare economics: Amartya Sen, Public failure, Crisis of Welfare State, Collective Decision Making , Voting Rules
