Knows the development of children´s literature in Turkey and in the world.
Identifies the appropriate types of literature for early childhood.

Chooses the appropriate types of literature for early childhood and presents them in an appropriate way.

Aim(s) of Course : Enable students undetstand the historical development of children´s literature in Turkey and the world, identifying qualified children´s books, being able to determine the appropriate children´s literal books to their age groups, identifying the types and the chararteristics of children´s literature.

Course Contents : In this course, definition, aim, characteristics, the contributions to the development of child, the historical development of children´s literature in Turkey and in the world, types and the characteristics of children´s literature, and the appropriate types of literature to children´s development and age group are lectured.
