Knows the development of children´s literature in Turkey and in the world. Identifies the appropriate types of literature for early childhood. Identifies the types of children´s literature. Chooses the appropriate types of literature for early childhood and presents them in an appropriate way. Mode of Delivery : Face-to-Face Prerequisites and Co-Prerequisites : None Recommended Optional Programme Components : None Aim(s) of Course : Enable students undetstand the historical development of children´s literature in Turkey and the world, identifying qualified children´s books, being able to determine the appropriate children´s literal books to their age groups, identifying the types and the chararteristics of children´s literature. Course Contents : In this course, definition, aim, characteristics, the contributions to the development of child, the historical development of children´s literature in Turkey and in the world, types and the characteristics of children´s literature, and the appropriate types of literature to children´s development and age group are lectured.
