Aim(s) of Course : Concept of childhood, children´s rights, prenatal development, physical, motor, cognitive, social and emotional development between the ages of 0-8 years, concepts and theories of cognitive development (Piaget, Vygotsky), concepts and theories of language development, variables related to language development, functions of language and relationships between thought and language, bi-lingualism.

Course Contents : Concept of childhood, children´s rights, prenatal development, physical, motor, cognitive, social and emotional development between the ages of 0-8 years, concepts and theories of cognitive development (Piaget, Vygotsky), concepts and theories of language development, variables related to language development, functions of language and relationships between thought and language, bi-lingualism.
