Aim(s) of Course : To acquire knowledge on the protection and maintanence of physical, psychological and social health of a mother, a child anf family.

Course Contents : The conditions of mothers and children in Turkey and the world; the concept of healthy family, the concept of domestic violence, anatomy and physiology of female reproductive system; impregnation, embryo, the growth of fetus, some disorders and emergency situations during pregnancy, risky conditions during pregnancy (hypertension, diabetics, heart diseases), infections and medication during pregnancy, diet during pregnancy; physiological features of a new-born, infections at childhood, vaccines, accidents, emergency situations and first aid.
