Learning Outcomes of the Course : Defines aesthetics and theory of art.
Reviews and evaluates the history of art in chronological order.
Gains awareness related to the concepts of popular art and popular culture such as the purpose of art, the function, the artistic identity and gains the ability to criticize a work of art by improving his/her visual culture and visual literacy skills.
Has an opinion about the concepts of originality and creativity, the ability to comment on works of art that are of value.
Understands contemporary art, is flexible, and has the ability to think critically.

Aim(s) of Course : The aim of this course is to teach the students about the identification and description of the concepts of art and aesthetic skills; the origin of artistic thought, chronological sense, evaluation of the history of art; contributing to the development of artistic culture; gaining awareness of visual culture and visual literacy; developing knowledge and awareness of the concepts of originality and creativity.
