Learning Outcomes of the Course : students know and understand basic terms what pre-EIA is, final EIA and strategic EIA
Students get information about legal law rules and process of EIA, what kind of and size of operating have to prepare EIA.
The course attenders have basic information about ecological risk analysis, planing and management in the main EIA
Students know what kind of basic knowladge will be needed in EIA process and how they reach information deal with place of planned operation.
They know different EIA different methods and manage it
They have ability how an EIA project managed by analysing some EIA project report prepared before and present it in classroom.
They have skills give decision the impact of an planned operation on the natural environment by using their basic biology knowladge.
They know how to prepare an succesfull EIA project, and writting it according to the rules of Environmental ministry.

Aim(s) of Course : The meaning of science, research and project with the history, development and aims of environmental impact assessment (EIA) will be main subject of this course. Also, the detail of terminology, development, and aims of EIA will be examined on the global scale and in Turkey.

Course Contents : Evaluation, planning and manage of the risk assessment and their application areas will be considered. The knowledge about the importance of protection rare and endangered species, and prevent environmental pollution will be given to students. National and international convention signed by Turkey and NGO’s working on the environmental protection will be examined in this lecture.
