Learning Outcomes of the Course : Specifying the relationship between Islam and science and causes of the first term scientific mobility in the Islamic world.
Description the transfer methods and ways of Philosophy and natural sciences from neighboring cultures to Islamic world.
Show the classification of classical science, religious and positive sciences listing
Description of scientific training, methodology and the historical process of institutions in Islamic World.
Explanation with examples the reasons for transition to specialize in various areas of science from encyclopedic understanding of science
Show examples of inventions and discovery of Muslims in the history of science and literature
The transfer ways of the scientific heritage to the West and to specify concrete examples from variety fields
Analyzing the position of Islamic societies in the world of science in our age. And to analyze the causes and consequences of regress of Muslims in the field of science and technology

Aim(s) of Course : To explain scientific invention, literature and products of the world of Islamic culture.

Course Contents : The relationship between Islam and science and scientific training, methodology and the historical process of institutions in Islamic World. The origins of scientific activity in the world of Islamic culture. Philosophy of science in Islamic thought. Science classifications: Separation of disciplines and fields, specialization.
