Learning Outcomes of the Course : From the point of universal characteristic of ethics, Islamic ethics is examined on the philosophical ground, and performed practically in a multi-cultural community.

Aim(s) of Course : To investigate the main structure of the philosophical and religious ethics, and to analyze how Islamic philosophers discuss the religious ethics from point of philosophical view, and the modern possibility of such a discussion

Course Contents : The relation between philosophy and ethic, the relations of Islam an ethic and philosophy, ethical values, practical ethic, ethical behaviors arisen from the relations of the person and his feelings (religious ethic), ethical behaviors arisen from the relation of the person and society (social ethic), ethics of the domestic relations, neighbourhood ethic, social ethic, mutual responsibilities of Muslims, state ethics.
