Learning Outcomes of the Course : Defines briefly the terminology of Turkish Islamic Literature.
Classifies the features of Turkish Islamic literature’s periods.
Interprets the main works of Turkish-Islamic Literature and the examples of the its representatives.
Comrehend relationship between religion, art and literature.
Analyzes the literary works.
Become aware of the topics which discussed in the texts of Turkish Islamic Literature.
Knows role of literature on the transfer of the religious knowledge and excitement.

Aim(s) of Course : The purpose of this course is to examine and understand the representatives of the Turkish-Islamic periods and periods of literature, literary texts according to style method and structure

Course Contents : Muslim religious literature will focus on the impact on Turkish society and significant symbols of religious literature will be discussed. This species containing the symbols Prophet´s Birthday (Mawlid), na´t, pendname etc. and their written forms, ghazal, ode, mesnevi, etc. will be examined.
