Learning Outcomes of the Course : Understans the importance of the purpose international unions, Quality, TQM, TQC, quality control and so on.
Learns the evaluation of architecture quality criteria ; design and production quality
Understands and follows, the laws and the decisions of architectural quality in Europe
Understands the approach of the UIA, national and international building codes (ICC) community
Comprehends, ISO9000 quality assurance system and ISO 14000 environmental management systems
Follows, Turkey´s integration with the international standards (TSE-CEN TS-EN) evaluation
Gains knowledge about EIA documents and reports; green building certifications (BREEAM, LEED, etc.).

Aim(s) of Course : The importance of concepts related with standard and quality on the building; Quality, TQC, TQM, specifications, standards, etc. European architectural quality laws, Turkey´s integration with the international standards (ISO-TSE-CEN TS-EN). Building materials regulations, quality system certification and exploring the basic principles of architectural sustainability.

Course Contents : Explaining the purpose, significance, types of topics of Standardization and Qualıty in building; ISO 9000, ISO14000, EIA documents and reports,; green building certifications (BREEAM, LEED, etc.) of some international unions; TQM, TQC, quality control and so on. ; architectural quality in Europe and Turkey (architectural laws and regulations
