Learning Outcomes of the Course : Gains relevant knowledge about urban design, urban development and rehabilitation and designs urban areas
Gains skills for choosing information, analysing it and producing knowledge through experimental design
Undertakes urban planning, practice and monitoring in small scale, gains competence in explaining current formal regulations
Gains knowledge about design principle in urban scale and skills for preparing and presenting urban design and planning project proposals in various scales and contents
Gains skills for solving problems of moving and stable vehicle traffic and designing parking areas
Gains competence and skills for understanding development plans (scale, explanations and drawing technique) comprehends and interprets legal framework for urban development

Aim(s) of Course : Discussion of urban planning approaches and urban components (such as application of development plans, traffic, density, housing areas, working areas, recreation areas, service areas, urban image and multi functionalism) in various scales and contents within the context of urban design and planning project proposals

Course Contents : Application of development plans, site analysis (physical evaluation, questionnaires). Lynch analysis, SWOT analysis, urban planning standards, planning according to population density, project development
