This course is intended to increase the information and abilities of the managers for managing the technological and innovation activities. In the line with the obtained information from this course, managers will provide their companies to be at a high level of technology and get the maximum efficiency from this situation. |

Course Contents |

The subjects of Private sector and public R&D institutions, people involved in Managing Technology in organizations; The role of CTO/CIO; Procurement management, proposal development: with a request for proposal (RFP), without a request for proposal, contents of the proposals, ethic issues; Characteristics of innovative firms, technology project financing; Motivation theories, motivation of R&D and technical people; Strategic management of R&D: mission, objectives, goals, strategies and actions, integrating strategy, technology and innovation; functions of Project Management, phases of project management, scheduling techniques, Work Breakdown Structures, Work Packages; Technology life cycle, technology sources; Team Building: Effective teams, team leadership, types of teams; Leadership in R&D: principles, dimension of technical leadership, management vs. leadership; Kaizen, Deming Wheel, Innovation vs. Kaizen, Kaizen tools will be introduced. |
