Learning Outcomes of the Course : Understands the role of grasses in sustainable food production. Knows the most commonly grown grasses and recognize their suitability in terms of climate, soil, and livestock use To learn how forage management relates to forage production and nutritive value. Realizes how forages are evaluated for their value to livestock. Utilizes the above information to solve real problems facing livestock producers.

Aim(s) of Course : This course focuses on major aspects of forage crop production and biology, for example, cultural practices, adaptation, sustainable agriculture use, seed production, harvest, livestock utilization, and storage of forages

Course Contents : this course includes; ıntroduction of grasses grass botany, physiology of grasses environmental aspects of forage management, cultivation of major grasses, forage qulatiy and preservation of forae as hay and silage
